Can I use this generator in a National Park?

Generally, generators below 65dB are allowed in parks as they are considered quiet generators. Our Gentrax unit has a noise level of 58dB at 7m, which is similar to the sound of a low TV volume. However, it's still best to check with the relevant agency managing the national parks that you want to visit in case of additional requirements.

My generator runs but has no power. What's causing this?

Check if the connectors at the back of the front panel are plugged tightly. You can also check with your manufacturer for issues within your inverter generator.

Is it normal for smoke to come out from a generator?

Excessive blue or white smoke can indicate burning oil, which is caused commonly by: - Overfilling of oil - Incorrect oil grades - Operating engine at greater than a 15-degree angle

What are the first steps to breaking in my brand-new generator?

The break-in period will last for about 25 hours. DO NOT exceed 75% of the Generators rated capacity during this time. Change the engine oil after and once you have started on the normal operating conditions make sure to follow it with subsequent maintenance according to the schedule & instructions in the MAINTENANCE section. How should I clean my generator?

Cleaning and Adjusting Spark Plug (Should be done every 3 months or 50-hr) 1. Remove the spark plug. 2. Check for discolouration and remove the carbon. 3. Check the spark plug type and gap. 4. Install the spark plug. Air Filter (every 3 months or 50-hr) 1. Remove the cover. 2. Remove the air filter cover and element. 3. Wash the element in solvent and dry. 4. Oil the element and squeeze out excess oil. The element should be wet but not dripping. 5. Insert the element into the air filter. 6. Install the cover. Fuel Tank Filter (every 6 months or 100-hr) 1. Remove the fuel tank cap and filter. 2. Clean the filter with solvent. Check for damage & replace if necessary. 3. Wipe the filter and insert it.

Do I need an earth strap for this generator?

It is recommended to earth the generator, but it can be used without grounding it.
